The tight-knit fighting game community has launched a donations campaign for the family of Terrance Moore, the Killer Instinct pro who passed away last Thursday in the middle of a live-streamed games tournament.

Moore, known among friends and competitors as "PushaTee", was said to have fallen unconscious after his play session at a Super Arcade tournament on October 16. Paramedics were called in but pronounced Moore dead after rushing him to hospital.

His passing has rocked the fighting game community, with an outpouring of tributes published. Fighting game tournament announcer James Chen, a prominent figure within the community, wrote on Twitter: "Another warrior in our family has left us. Thoughts go out to @pushatee22's family and friends. A moment of silence for our fallen comrade."

A YouTuber by the name of "MrGrimmmz", meanwhile, has helped launch a donations campaign for Moore's family with an emotional video tribute (above).

That campaign, which has gained attention on Reddit, has already rocketed past its funding goal of $2,900. At the time of going to press, the community has raised $9,080 with 11 days of funding remaining.

Moore is survived by his wife and two children.
